Really good Stay Near Aldgate East
warm welcome quick check-in
The staff provided a very warm welcome upon arrival. I was able to check in quickly because they found an available room despite my early arrival. I dined at the hotel on my last night. The food tasted awesome, was presented well, and reasonably priced. The reception, bar, lounging area, and dining area had a quirky yet fabulous design. It differs greatly from many sterile-looking hotels.
The air conditioning was fixed at 24°, so the room was cold, especially after a shower. The windows did not seal well, and there was a draft, so I was unable to adjust the temperature to my liking. The bathroom lacked privacy due to the pod concept and a door that did not close properly.

Staff members offered prompt and efficient service during check-in. They were helpful and courteous when I had questions. The service I received in the restaurant and bar area was excellent, I felt grateful.

i found the room to be clean, so much. the bed was very comfortable, i slept soundly each night. the included breakfast offered a variety of choices, a lovely way to start the day.
the room felt quite small. the air conditioning was ineffective, i felt a little warm. the noise from the street was noticeable. i could hear sounds into the late hours.

lift malfunction chaotic scanning
The staff was helpful WHEN needed.
The room decor seemed interesting, BUT the lift malfunctioned. The scanning process also did not work. It all seemed a bit chaotic and not particularly well-managed.

the check-in process was easy on the touchscreen. the room decor looked eco-friendly. breakfast service was quick and the food was delicious. staff were very helpful at breakfast.
the tv did not work, it could have been just the remote batteries. the room's design felt awkward and contrived. i thought the decor was not practical.

Practical and pleasant stay
excellent location helpful staff comfortable bed
I found the location EXCELLENT for using public transportation, specifically Whitechapel station. The staff was helpful, and I secured a coupon for a free drink by opting out of housekeeping. We stayed for several nights and found the incentive a good bonus. The room was unexpectedly large and had a nice layout. The food in the restaurant also had good quality and appropriate portion sizes for the price. The location gave good value and made it easy to get around to various sites. The bed was particularly comfortable. Extra towels and a heater were provided upon request. Secure access to the hotel after hours and to the rooms gave me peace of mind.
